Fat Burners: The Unadulterated Truth

Fat burner supplements are advertised everywhere these days - on the internet, in magazines and even on TV. The ads almost always feature a very lean fitness model or bodybuilder and claim that these products, usually pills, were the secret to their six pack abs and very low body fat levels. Some of these ads suggest that the only way to get as lean as the "hot bodies" you see in the ads is by taking their "miracle pills" and that proper nutrition and exercise alone is not enough.

Here is Your Supplement Checklist

Confused Supplement Seeker,

A few days ago this kid posted his supplement stack pictures. He spends $400+ a month on supplements! I think I spend under $50 and that's if I'm being experimental.

I'll refrain from talking about brand names and such as I think we all have our opinions on those and many times price is a factor. Let's just stick to the overall basics.

So let's begin...

Optimum Nutrition

If you are ever short on time and need something to keep you going a protein shake is great. Quick, easy and all you dirty is a cup.

My favorite brand is bar none Optimum Nutrition. My personal favorite flavor is double chocolate. The amount of time this stuff has saved me... I can't even begin to explain.

When trying to lose weight its important to have quality protein in your diet. I realize it's not always possible to toss some chicken on the grill or in the oven so supplementing with protein powders can be fantastic.

Right now I am cutting, trying to take in around 2200 calories a day. Optimum is perfect, only 130 calories per scoop. Thats 24 g of protein.

I take it 3 times a day right now.

First when I wake up in the morning, I don't like making breakfast because I usually sleep in. I mix 1 scoop protein with 1/2 scoop maltodextrin (carbs in powder form).

My second shake is pre workout, about 3 o'clock, I mix 1 scoop whey with water 45 min before my workout.

My third shake of the day is post workout when I mix a scoop and a half Optimum with a scoop of maltodextrin.

Not only am I getting high quality protein that I can mix in milk or water, the calories are extremely minimal. At 130 calories per scoop I don't mind supplementing 3 times a day.

If you use a protein powder and it's not Optimum, I recommend checking it out the next time you need to re-order.

 Rapid Cuts

My overall goal is to weed out all the bs and do my best to post the most relevant information possible. When it comes to supplements it's no different, I want to help you guys find products that work.

Now I've used a number of fat burners, I am sure you guys have tried a few as well. Some work, some don't really. I personally had an awsome experience with Rapid Cuts .

Rapid Cuts was given to me as a sample, so I figured I would try it out right. Why not?

The first morning I took it I was buzzing around like I just drank 6 cups of coffee. Effective is an understatement. I was impressed to say the least so I decided to pick up a bottle. Taking it twice a day with a caffeine pill showed me some fantastic results. I cut down approximately 5 lbs the first week taking it. Now thats nothing to really brag about but since I had been losing very slowly up untill that point I found it quite significant.

If you haven't heard of the product before, check it out, if your at a sticking point it may just give you that extra edge.

Bodybuilding.com has a great deal on it, Rapid Cuts
