How to Burn Belly Fat Fast
We’re going
to be covering 5 tips that you know of, but aren’t using to help you burn
belly fat fast.
Let me start
off by saying that if you’re chasing the latest diet or fat burning food then
you’re doing something wrong. Don’t take
this the wrong way though. You just need
some guidance.
The heath
industry is a billion+ dollar market, they want you to chase the latest diet
and craze. It’s beneficial for them to
keep you wanting a magic pill because this boosts their bottom line.
What I am
going to do is help bring you back to the core fundamentals of burning
fat. That’s right, we’re going to get
rid of that belly – the right way.
1 Cut out
sugar. This can be all that people need
in order to start losing fat and reshaping their body. In today’s fast food society this can be
quite difficult though. My recommendation
is to start by lowering it consciously; for example, instead of having that
double double every morning you switch over to just cream or milk. That’s a couple hundred calories and a lot
less sugar – just from changing that little habit. This will make an even bigger difference if
you drink multiple cups of coffee a day.
Start there with this little change – no more sugar in your coffee. Losing belly fat is right around the corner.
2 Minimize
your wheat consumption. I just found out
my brother was gluten intolerant the other day.
He’s proceeded to cut the majority of white bread type products out of
his diet. No more pastas, breads, pastries,
pizzas… you get the idea. And you know
what? He’s losing fat. Replace these bad carbohydrates with better
ones such as oatmeal, rice, potatoes, fruits and vegetables. You’re body will thank you.
3 Let
less. It doesn’t get more simple than
this. You can still lose fat even if you’re
eating the wrong foods; however, you’re not optimizing your body if you’re
trying to burn body fat. I used to eat 6
meals a day because I thought that would help with fat loss – I found out it’s
more of a pain in the ass than anything.
I now eat 2 to 3 meals a day. I
eat bigger meals and focus them around my workout (weight training). My biggest meal being my post workout
meal. This is where I take in a good
chunk of my calories, protein, carbs and fats.
The remaining 2 or 3 meals are focused around good protein like boneless
skinless chicken and veggies or oatmeal.
Eating fewer, larger meals has actually helped me lose body fat. I am eating more per sitting, but over the
course of the day I am still under my caloric maintenance.
4 Cut out
cardio. Cardio is way too much work if
you’re concerned with how to burn belly fat.
Yes, there are numerous health benefits to it, but if you’re solely
focused on body re-composition and fat loss your efforts are better spent on a
good weight training program (here is my 5 day weight training split)and quality foods that have you in a caloric
deficit for an extended period of time.
Weight training will help you retain and even build muscle which will
increase your basal metabolic rate and help you utilize food more efficiently.
5 Track your
progress. How on earth can you ever
progress at something, especially something difficult like burning stomach fat,
without meticulous tracking? I tell you
what, you’re not going to succeed. Every
day you should have goals to work towards.
You should be lifting a little bit more.
You should be lessening your calories a little bit. You should be incorporating healthier more beneficial
foods. Get a planner/book and keep track
of your food intake, your workouts, the time that you’re eating and your body
weight. After a week analyze this
information – it shouldn’t be difficult to see what you need to change. If you tend to eat a lot of a calories from
5pm-12am then you know this is an area you need to work on.
Incorporate
these tips into your daily life and heed the results. Remember, results don’t come overnight and
anyone that tells you they do is lying to you.
Your goal to burn belly fat and have a better looking body IS attainable,
you just have to want it bad enough.
Best of luck
in your fat loss endeavors,
Mike Ryan
