Common Ab Training Mistakes

There are many mistakes being made by people in the gym when trying to effectively target your abs, I just want to list a few of the most common ones I see.

Doing sit-ups with your neck
Situps are ment to be done by flexing your abdominal muscles. Keep your chin tucked and really focus on curling your abs. Pretend you are wrapping your body around a log.

Doing countless sit-ups day every single day
Totally unnecessary, abs are just another muscle group. They should be worked just a couple times a week. 

Really fast motions
Whether it be a situp or a crunch, it doesn't matter. A controlled movement is key. Take your time when doing a crunching motion and pause for a second, feel the burn.

Working your abs is easy if you know what your doing. Focus on isolating the abdominal muscles.

Rembmer, you are in the gym to destroy and break down the muscle, not to say you went and did 200 half assed sit-ups.
